UAV market is taking off

Civic Drone is specialized in the development of civilian drone and was recently in Gardouch (next to Toulouse). Edward Guilhot-GAUDEFFROY, Civic Drone CEO present the technology that the company has developed for the last ten years and explains he wants to have a workshop in Toulouse's area.

How does your drone ?

There is a counter- drone : it is provided with two rotors which rotate in opposite directions . On the same model as a helicopter, it has a propulsion on the same axis that allows it to have a constant power and greater stability. It can take up to 30 minutes at 40 meters when the majority of drones only take about ten minutes and can withstand gusts. On the ground, it is controlled by an interface. It is a computer that provides several types of information : the GPS position of the device, its temperature, speed and especially its mission. Our UAV is also equipped with a parachute, a camera, a GNSS ( GPS equivalent ) connected to a dozen satellites and a cap that allows it to absorb shocks .

What are the applications ?

The drone is multitasking. It can be put at the service of architects, surveyors , building societies but also the city which can for example be used to map the city.
It can also save lives. Imagine there is a snowfall in the Pyrenees with avalanche risk . It can appeal to the drone to drop mines. This avoids sending people in hazardous areas .
UAVs can also be very useful for firefighters to locate victims of a fire , for example.

You plan to install offices in Toulouse region. Why this choice?

In the southwest, there is a much larger aerospace culture in northern France . A third of those seeking to be trained Civic Drone piloting drone to become operator for companies coming from the south west.
We are currently seeking office , specifically a workshop of 250m ² in the region would be in assembly, disassembly, after sales service and training of operators.
